Injured & Feeling Stuck?

Injured & Feeling Stuck?

October 01, 20252 min read

We’ve all been there. One week you’re smashing your sessions, feeling unstoppable and then bam a sore spot pops up. It’s frustrating, it’s disheartening, and honestly, it can make you question why you even bother.

Here’s the thing though: an injury doesn’t mean your progress is over. It just means the path forward looks a little different.

The Mental Battle is Real

When you’re injured, the physical pain is only half the story. The other half? The mental spiral. Thoughts like:

  • “I’m going to lose everything I worked for.”

  • “What’s the point if I can’t train properly?”

  • “I’ll never get back to where I was.”

Sound familiar? Totally normal. But here’s the truth: injuries are temporary. What matters most is how youhandlethis timeframe.

Modify, Don’t Quit

Injury doesn’t equal “do nothing.” It means “be smart.” The key is finding ways to keep moving without making the injury worse.

For example:

  • Knee issues?Swap squats for glute bridges, wall sits TRX squats

  • Shoulder pain?Stick to rows, bicep curls or supported chest exercises

  • Wrist struggles?Let's modify angle or using a machine

It’s not about doingnothing. It’s about doing what your bodycanhandle right now.

Why Stopping Makes It Worse

Nothing nurtures pain like a sedentary lifestyle.

Your body is built to move. Avoiding movement usually makes pain drag on, not disappear. Yes, rest & recovery has its place but skipping activity altogether is probably not the right move.

Keep exercising - and modify
Go for walks - take the stairs.

Your Next Step

Next time you feel like throwing in the towel, pause and ask yourself:what CAN I do today? It might not be what you’re used to, but it’s still forward momentum.

Injuries don’t define you. They part of the parcel when you live an active lifestyle and we just manage and respond to them accordingly.
